It’s been a while since we’ve put together a pajama-themed newsletter! Today we’re sharing some of our best inspiration for comfy, cozy pajamas and loungewear. Pajamas are year-round, everyday garments, so it’s always the perfect time to sew a new set! Today we’ll help you pair a great pajama pattern with your favorite fabric to make sleepwear that you’ll truly love wearing.

We’re anticipating a little warm weather before autumn arrives, so we’ll start our sewing list with cool, crisp fabrics like cotton lawn and shirting. These fabrics are lightweight and tightly-woven, so they’re ideal for warm summer nights. The Winnie pajama set is vintage-inspired and is perfect in classic cotton shirting. It’s September first, which means that you still have plenty of time to sew flannel pajamas for fall, winter, and the coziest holiday gifts! We have a wonderful selection of flannel in stock—there’s a perfect flannel for every name on your holiday gift list. There is something wonderfully satisfying about sewing something that is allowed to be completely, unapologetically comfortable. Pajamas and loungewear are the perfect place to have fun with fabric, try a new pattern, or use that print you love but haven’t quite figured out what to do with yet. And because these are garments you’ll actually wear over and over—possibly far more often than you care to admit—they are absolutely worth making well.
