Stonemountain team wearing handmade garments from LADY MCELROY FABRICS
We always tell you how much we love Lady McElroy, and now we’re ready to share the amazing garments the team has made with our collection of Lady McElroy fabrics—today is the big Stonemountain Spotlight reveal!

For this edition of the Spotlight, we gave our staff members three yards of their favorite Lady McElroy fabric and asked them to make anything they want using a pattern from the shop—and we are so impressed with the results! If you love Lady McElroy fabrics as much as we do, we think this spotlight will give you lots of sewing inspiration for autumn and beyond!

Over the past few years, Lady McElroy has become one of the shop’s most beloved fabric lines. Lady McElroy fabrics feature unique, contemporary fashion prints and a variety of high-quality, wearable substrates like cotton lawn, rayon challis, 100% linen, and many more. We import all of our Lady McElroy fabrics directly from England, and Stonemountain & Daughter is an exclusive U.S. retailer of a group of Lady McElroy cotton lawns. We are thrilled to be able to bring these gorgeous, high-quality fabrics to our community of sewists, season after season—these are beautiful fabrics that we love to sew with and wear, and we think you’ll love making them a treasured part of your everyday wardrobe, too!

If the photos of our Stonemountain Spotlight inspire you to sew your own Lady McElroy pieces for fall, read on!

We are totally blown away with the creativity of our staff, and we think you will be, too. Our Lady McElroy handmade garments might be our best Spotlight yet! A huge thank you to the Stonemountain & Daughter staff for sharing their amazing makes! In addition to reading about them on our blog, you can find our staff’s beautiful Lady McElroy garments on display in the shop for the month of September.

title - Knit Jersey

Making our own knit garments is one of our favorite things about sewing—and you can make basic tees and tanks (and more!) your own with our beautiful jersey knits from Lady McElroy! These viscose and tencel/modal knits are lightweight with a super soft hand and drape, so they’ll make luxuriously comfy basics like the Elysian Bodysuit, the Agnes Top, and the Concord T-Shirt!

title - Stretch twills

Lady McElroy stretch twills make woven garments you’ll want to live in! These fabrics are perfect for patterns like the Erin Dungarees and the Magic Pants and Twist Pants, where a little stretch adds comfort and creates the perfect fit. We also love these fabrics for jackets like The September, as the spandex content adds a bit of softness to these strong midweight fabrics.

title - Boiled Wool/ Viscose

No time to knit a winter sweater? No worries—sew one up in a snap with your favorite color of Jubilee wool/viscose! We love this gorgeous boiled wool blend for pullovers like the Toaster Sweater, and it’s equally fabulous for outerwear like the Tania Coatigan and the Canton Moto Jacket.
