The 1920s Sugar Coat by Decades of Style (#2006) is a very loose fitting boxy coat with fabric-petal “fringe” embellished sleeve and hem line. Purchased frog closure at center front. Set in sleeves and small darts at front shoulder and center back neck. Side seam pockets. Optional lining.
Yardage Requirements: 2.625 – 3.875 yards of main fabric. 1.375 – 1.875 yards of contrast fabric for petals. Please see chart for details.

Fabric Recommendations: Midweight fabrics that can accomodate the small darts at the shoulder. Bottom weight linen and twills, gabardine, bottom weight cottons, sateens, wools, crepe, jacquard, velveteen. For petal fabric, midweight fabrics like dupioni, lightweight boiled wool. Please note, wrong side of petal fabrics will be visible.
