Have flowers all year round with this charming 1930s dress featuring fabric flowers at the neckline and sleeves.

Slim-fitting 1930s dress with a dramatic collar, bell sleeves, fabric flower details, and inset pleats. Shaping is achieved with darts at the side bust and waist. Side zipper closure.

Fit Notes: The Corsage Dress has 3” of ease at the bust, 2” at the waist and 6” at the hip, so please make a quick muslin to see if this is adequate ease for your liking. Just a reminder the pattern is drafted for a B-cup bra size. Center back length 47”- 50.”

Dress weight fabrics for the main fabric in something that will hold a sharp crease for the pleat detail; light weight poplin, mid weight linen, mid weight rayon, chambray, oxford, cotton damask, mid weight cotton sateen, mid weight cottons, shantung, shirting fabric will work but will need underlining. Light to midweight worsted woolens with a hard hand (getting a sharp crease for the pleats in wool requires extra handling)

Contrast – avoid bulky fabrics: silk noil, shirting, challis, light weight linen, light weight silks, cottons or rayon, light weight woolens, light weight crepe
