This basic zig zag foot is the regular presser foot that will be used for most sewing.

If your machine takes snap on feet, it should be compatible with this generic foot!  Most machines made since 1980 (like Singer, Brother, Janome, Elna, Baby Lock, Viking, Pfaff, and others) use snap on feet, except Berninas.  Bernina machines need an adapter to use snap on feet.
