This tool is designed to cleanly cut buttonholes in fabric. It has a sharp, chiseled steel edge, an ergonomic handle, and a protective plastic sheath. To use this buttonhole cutter, place garment over a block of wood, position the cutter on the buttonhole, and hit the end of the handle gently with a hammer or mallet. The edge is 12mm wide, which is suitable for buttonholes 1/2″ or wider.
