Batiste is a very light, semi-sheer cotton fabric. This fabric has a soft hand and gentle drape. It is ideal for blouses, lined dresses and skirts, scarves, and more. It would also work as a lining for other sheer woven fabrics.
Wondering what “deadstock” means? Deadstock fabrics are left over from garment factories and textile mills. Instead of ending up in a landfill, this fabric comes to us! It can be a more sustainable option than newly manufactured fabrics and it’s a great way to get interesting garment fabrics (sometimes even designer pieces!).
