Silk Noil – Periwinkle Blue

Silk noil (also called raw silk) is one of our absolute favorite fabrics—it has a beautiful drape, wonderful nubby texture, and is easy to care for. Silk noil also sews easily and does not slip like charmeuse or crepe. It works well for all sorts of garments, such as tops, dresses, skirts, pants, jackets, and more.

Care Instructions: To keep your silk noil as close as possible to its original condition, we recommend dry cleaning. However, silk noil is also the most washable silk! Washed raw silk has a beautiful, soft, lived-in texture. You can hand wash or use a gentle machine wash cycle. Be sure to use a detergent without bleach, such as Soak Wash, because bleach will break down silk fibers. Hang dry or lay flat to dry. Please note that darker colors may fade more quickly with washing.
