Silk/rayon velvet has a liquid drape and an incredibly soft hand. It is fairly opaque and makes beautiful blouses, dresses, skirts, jackets, and more. This fabric has a nap, which may affect your fabric requirements.
Wondering what “deadstock” means? Deadstock fabrics are left over from garment factories and textile mills. Instead of ending up in a landfill, this fabric comes to us! It can be a more sustainable option than newly manufactured fabrics and it’s a great way to get interesting garment fabrics (sometimes even designer pieces!).
