Can’t resist a gorgeous fabric print? We can relate! From florals to geometrics to abstract hand-printed patterns, there are so many fabrics to fall in love with at Stonemountain & Daughter! Atelier Brunette (pictured above) makes some of our favorites—contemporary and colorful abstract prints in a cohesive palette that’s perfect for your coordinating capsule wardrobe. Atelier Brunette is just one of the amazing printed fabric groups in our collection—there’s so much to explore!
If you’re feeling inspired by print and pattern, now is the perfect time to indulge in not only prints and patterns, but spectacular solids, too.

Lady McElroy

Known for their incredible prints, our collection of Lady McElroy fabrics is full of fabric treasure! We carry Lady McElroy prints in an assortment of base cloths you’ll love wearing—think cotton lawn, poplin, viscose/linen, knit jerseys, and more—plenty of opportunities to get Lady McElroy’s unique prints into your wardrobe! We can’t resist a large-scale print like Orange Blossom for a Charlie Caftan, lush Floral Wilderness for an Avenir Jumpsuit, and Beauty and the Bee for a Regalia Blouse.

What’s the best way to feature a stand-out print? Choose a garment with a simple silhouette, like the Strata Top Suzan wears here. The boxy, drapey Strata is a perfect match for a large-scale floral print like Lady McElroy’s Paradise Botanics viscose challis. The Strata lets this gorgeous print really shine, and it’s a versatile top that you’ll love making a part of your wardrobe in spring, summer, and beyond!

Japanese Imports

Our collection of Japanese imports is home to a variety of colors, textures, and of course, amazing prints! Our Japanese imports aisle includes florals, geometric prints, and prints based on traditional Japanese design, as well as fun, whimsical prints we can’t get enough of (have you met the matchbox cats?). We’re always excited to coordinates fabrics across collections—check out this Japanese chair canvas paired with a painterly print from Lady McElroy!

You don’t have to outfit yourself in head-to-toe whimsy to enjoy cute prints in your wardrobe! Using these prints sparingly in details like cuffs and linings can add a little extra fun to your garment. We love that the Take a Seat patch pockets on Hulda’s Apron Dress add some joy to the solid Ventana Twill. Hulda sewed a matching top that she can wear with the dress for a matching ensemble, or with jeans for a more casual look.

bright ideas in new arrivals
