Spring is here, and the store is abloom with floral print fabrics! Florals have always been popular for garment sewing, and it’s fun to see all the different styles that have delighted the sewists over the years. We’re sharing a bouquet of beauties from the collection today, and we highly recommend taking a little extra time to wander through the garden of floral fabrics yourself—there’s so much beauty to discover!
In a field of bright blooms, there’s something unexpected about earth-tone florals! Flowers in shades of brown and tan have a vintage vibe, and can easily be incorporated into your look. Choose a floral cotton oxford for an Austin Dress or Flaneur Pants you’ll love wearing this spring and summer. Our popular Petite Garden cotton poplin is back in stock, and we think it’s perfect for a Regalia Blouse. If you’re not usually a prints person, trying them out as a lining is a great way to start—our deadstock silk habotai will make a gorgeous jacket or vest lining!
