This lightweight yarn dyed linen/cotton blend has a buttery soft hand and beautiful drape. It is ideal for spring and summertime garments such as dresses, blouses or airy button-up shirts. It is slightly sheer so may require a lining for some projects.
Wondering what “deadstock” means? Deadstock fabrics are left over from garment factories and textile mills. Instead of ending up in a landfill, this fabric comes to us! It can be a more sustainable option than newly manufactured fabrics and it’s a great way to get interesting garment fabrics (sometimes even designer pieces!).
Content: 80% linen / 20% cotton
Width: 59″
Weight: 3.4 oz per square yard / 116 GSM
Care Instructions: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. To make linen wrinkle less, follow these instructions from Sandra Betzina: Before washing, iron the fabric with the hottest, driest iron possible. Machine wash in hot water and tumble dry on high heat. Remove only when completely dry. This method will result in shrinkage, but small, soft folds will replace the hard creases usually associated with linen.
