While our buyers are always adding great fabrics to our collection, every so often a batch of truly spectacular designer deadstock fabric crosses our path… and we can’t wait to tell you all about it!

Today we’re sharing a shipment of incredible deadstock fabric from an iconic Japanese designer—this visionary designer’s work is known for elegant architectural forms, color blocking, and lots of precise structural details like folds and pleats. This designer uses fabrics of impeccable quality that you’ll enjoy wearing for years to come—suitings, shirtings, technical fabrics, and much more. How about a bit of structure? These nylon-blend shirtings are cool to the touch and have a crisp hand that will add shap and volume to the right garment. These fabrics work well for garments like the Cambria Duster and the Puff Shirt, which showcase the fabric’s excellent, sculptural effect!

Suitingdescribes a lightweight, woven fabric (often wool or a wool blend) that can be used for making suits and other tailored garments.Technical suiting brings comfort and wearability to traditional suiting fabrics with the addition of fibers like spandex, nylon, or polyester. Even if you have no need for a suit, suiting can be a perfect fit for other garments! These polyester peach sheened crepefabrics have a gentle drape and a soft, matte surface. Each color would make beautiful garments on its own, but we’re especially inspired to use them for color blocking techniques. We’ll choose two or more colors and bring them together in garments with simple, geometric lines, like the Farrow Dress or the Block Tee.
