This beautiful boiled wool has a warm, thick hand and a gently-structured drape. Boiled wool is first knitted and then washed—through this washing process the wool fibers are lightly felted, resulting in a fabric that is dense and opaque. It is perfect for jackets and coats, and because boiled wool doesn’t fray, it is a great choice for unlined and raw-edge garments.
Content: 100% wool
Width: 58”
Weight: 11 oz per square yard / 375 GSM
Stretch: 20% along crossgrain / 10% along the grain
Care Instructions: If you want to handwash your finished garment, hand wash the fabric in cold water with a delicate soap, like Soak. Avoid excess friction: do not wring out your wool garment, and always dry flat. Iron and steam flat to reshape. Please note that handwashing will shrink the fabric around 8% or 3 inches per yard. If you want to avoid pre-washing, dry clean the finished garment. Do not bleach or tumble dry wool fabric.
