Fabrics, Sundries & Measurements

Fabrics: This pattern is designed for light to medium weight 4-way stretch knit fabrics with at least 50% horizontal and vertical stretch such as cotton stretch jersey, bamboo stretch jersey, stretch baby French terry, stretch thermal knit, stretch rib knit, stretch pointelle knit. Good stretch recovery is advised so that neckbands don’t stretch out, however, too much stretch recovery may result in a tighter fitting t-shirt.

Sundries: Thread.  Optional – knit fusible interfacing or tape for shoulder reinforcement (only for extremely delicate or stretchy knits).

Tools: Stretch sewing machine needle for knits, fabric scissors, iron & ironing board, straight pins, tailor’s chalk. Optional – twin or double needle for knits for hemming and topstitching.
