Introducing Share the Love, our monthly giving day that highlights organizations in service of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) communities. Stonemountain & Daughter Fabrics has been part of the SF Bay Area for 39 years, and our business has thrived due to the ongoing support of our diverse community. During this momentous time we are reflecting on our business practices to see how we can do more for those in our community and beyond. We want to support the folks who show up for the Bay Area and are working to make it a safe and empowering place for all.

Our business has come together to create an Anti-Racism Action Plan, which includes a monthly fundraising day. On the last Friday of each month we will host donation events where 15% of our sales will be given to an organization supporting BIPOC and fighting against racism. The first will be held on Friday, June 26th, and we are highlighting The Transgender District. The other element of our Share the Love program is using our various social media platforms to share anti-racism resources and amplify the voices and creativity of the Black community.

With June being Pride Month, we wanted to acknowledge the integral and revolutionary role Trans Women, and especially Trans Women of Color have contributed. Their stories and voices need not only to be raised up, but listened to, followed and financed. Join us in celebrating and supporting this incredible organization on Friday, June 26th!

Please note that coupons and other discounts will not be available on Share the Love fundraising days.

A Message from The Transgender District

Thank you for your supporting the work of The Transgender District! Your contributions directly help us provide innovative solutions for our community by creating safe spaces for trans and non-binary people that inspire economic advancement, leadership development and community.

Founded by three Black Trans women in 2017 (originally as Compton’s Transgender Cultural District), the Transgender District is the first legally recognized transgender district in the world. Our mission is to create an urban environment that fosters the rich history, culture, legacy, and empowerment of transgender people and its deep roots in the southeastern Tenderloin neighborhood. The Transgender District strives to help stabilize and economically empower the transgender community through ownership of homes, businesses, historic and cultural sites, and safe community spaces – and we can make this happen with your support!
